Multipurpose Digital Video Recorder (MPDVR) system is state of the art solid-state video recorder with capability of simultaneous recording of four very high-resolution differential RGB videos, two composite camera videos and an audio, 1553B Bus interface. Digital video recorder receives three differential RGB videos from Multi-Function Display, one composite camera video and pilot audio. Data from all channels is digitized compressed and stored in a removable cartridge for mission debrief.

OVERVIEW

RS-422 INTERFACE SCDVR has interface with WMMCs (Weapon and Mission Management Computer) through RS-422 serial links to receive commands and time data.
DISCRETE INTERFACE SCDVR has a discrete output to WMMCs to indicate that the cartridge is “IN” or “OUT”.
VIDEO INTERFACE SCDVR receives 2 x composite video from Head-Up Display and four differential high-resolution RGB video channels from SMFDs.
AUDIO INTERFACE DVR records Pilot audio received from Audio Control Board.
POWER INTERFACE The system is powered from the aircraft by 28V DC bus.
It simultaneously records camera video and MFD videos. After mission, the data cartridge is removed from recorder by pilot for analysis.
